Very good! I'm trying to do one of the near final scene of Solara in aviators and all the gear Eli wore as a figure on the road! I can't find an image of this scene anywhere :'(

That sounds like kewl idea. If you can't find the image, I think you may have to do a screenshot of the film (if you have it).

Great sketch.

Too bad they don't that many movies as great as this one; writers are too lazy to even think of a story and just stick to remakes and sequels.

Yeah. It's the politics of commerce... investors want returns and theatres want some assurance of success--so the Hollywood formula is to create the next blockbuster or big hit.

I'm not sure how successful this particular film was (I enjoyed it quite a bit), but if it was well-received and made good money at the box office--it will be imitated and we'll see more "new" films that use the same structure as this one and we'll be railing against those...

Yessshh!!

The Book of Eli was awesome. We took my grandmother to see it, and I was afraid she would have a heart attack. But actually, she loved it and said she had to go to the movies much more often. Who would have thought? A Christian action/adventure movie...and #2 in the boxoffice, even! Definitely getting it on DVD when it comes out.

Very nice!

You know, now that you mention it--I guess I could see it as a Christian action adventure film. What I liked is that there never was a point when there seemed to be any sublimated promotion of a particular religion (imo). While Eli was devout, we aren't necessarily led to believe that God is clearly playing a direct role in any of this, it's all just presented to us and leaves us to decide/interpret for ourselves... I really, really liked this film and there's plenty of stuff in there to start some great conversations.

Well, I'm making the most of things and taking it day-by-day. I'm still in San Antonio and still waiting tables and working on freelance web stuff here and there. I've been putting time into getting my site [link] in good working order and some cartooning, too...

When I get the site polished--I'm going to do a big promotional push for the branded products (mainly shirts, posters etc.). I'd like to run an ad for Argonaughts resins (no money involved), maybe a 300x250 or something of that order. Just a networking/partnering thing- you game?
